Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Australian Peptides (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how we keep it secure, and how you can access or correct it.

1. What Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Billing and shipping addresses
  • Order history and product preferences
  • Account login details
  • Institution or company name, where provided
  • Correspondence you send us (support enquiries, form submissions)

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, time on site, referring URL
  • Cookie and analytics identifiers

Payment information:

Card details are collected and processed directly by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act (such as health information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

2. How We Collect It

We collect personal information when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to our mailing list, opt in to SMS, submit a contact or enquiry form, or interact with our Website and emails.

3. Why We Collect and Use It

We use your personal information to:

  • Process, fulfil, and dispatch your orders
  • Communicate with you about your order, including shipping and delivery updates
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries
  • Manage your account
  • Send marketing communications where you have consented (see section 4)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks, and misuse
  • Meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations
  • Analyse and improve our Website, products, and service

4. Marketing Communications

Email. We use Mailchimp to manage our email marketing. When you subscribe to our mailing list or opt in at checkout, your name and email address are stored and processed through Mailchimp’s platform, which operates servers in the United States.

We may send you promotional emails, product updates, restock notifications, abandoned cart reminders, and newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We will action unsubscribe requests within 5 business days, in compliance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

SMS. With your consent, we may send SMS marketing messages including offers, restock alerts, and order updates. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opting out of marketing SMS does not affect transactional messages about active orders. We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Full SMS terms are set out in our Messaging Terms and Conditions.

Your consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.

5. Who We Disclose Information To

We disclose personal information only as necessary, to:

  • Payment processors — to take payment and manage refunds and chargebacks
  • Shipping and logistics providers — to deliver your order and provide tracking
  • Email and SMS platforms (including Mailchimp) — to deliver communications you have opted in to
  • Analytics and advertising providers (including Google Analytics) — for Website measurement
  • Hosting and IT service providers — to operate and secure the Website
  • Professional advisers — accountants, auditors, and lawyers, where required
  • Law enforcement and regulators — where required or authorised by law

We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

6. Overseas Disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. This includes Mailchimp (United States) and Google Analytics.

Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and session working, remember your preferences, measure Website traffic and performance, and (where enabled) support advertising and remarketing.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent checkout and account features from working correctly.

Analytics data is collected via Google Analytics. You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These include SSL/TLS encryption in transit, access controls, restricted administrator access, and regular software and security updates.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of an eligible data breach, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above or as required by law. Financial and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in line with Australian tax and record-keeping requirements.

Marketing contact records are retained until you unsubscribe, after which we retain a minimal suppression record to ensure we do not contact you again.

10. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. Email info@australianpeptides.com.

We will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information. If we refuse access or correction, we will explain why in writing.

You can also ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.

11. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us at info@australianpeptides.com with details of your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

  • Website: oaic.gov.au
  • Phone: 1300 363 992

12. Visitors in the EEA and UK

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, additional rights apply under the GDPR and UK GDPR. See our GDPR Policy.

13. Children

Our Website and products are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have, we will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy
