Description
Australian Peptides supplies R3TA 10mg as a reference material for laboratory research. Each vial holds 10mg of lyophilised peptide. We seal every vial under vacuum and ship from Australian stock. This product is strictly for laboratory use only, and not for human or animal use, consumption, or therapeutic use.
R3TA 10mg specifications
R3TA 10mg ships as a white to off-white lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial. The vial carries a rubber stopper and an aluminium crimp seal. We add no excipients, carriers or preservatives. Because we fill and seal under vacuum, moisture uptake stays low during storage and transit.
An independent laboratory assays every batch at 99% or greater purity by HPLC. In addition, we provide the mass spectrometry report for the current lot on request, and that report states the exact sequence and the measured mass for the material you receive. Batch numbers appear on the vial label, so you can trace any result back to the matching analysis.
A 20mg vial is also available. Researchers who work through material quickly often prefer it, because fewer vials means fewer stopper piercings and less handling loss. Both sizes come from the same production runs, so a certificate of analysis applies to either size whenever the lot number matches.
Storage, reconstitution and handling
Lyophilised peptide stays stable at ambient temperature in transit. However, move it to -20°C on arrival and keep it away from direct light. To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water. For example, 2mL yields a working concentration of 5mg/mL.
Direct the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder. Then swirl gently. Never shake the vial, because agitation can shear the peptide chain and degrade the sample. Note also that benzyl alcohol does not suit every preparation, as one study of a reconstituted lyophilised formulation records on PubMed. Afterwards, hold the vial at 2–8°C, use it within four weeks, and never refreeze it. We stock Bacteriostatic Water 3mL separately.
