TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on Thymosin beta-4, a naturally occurring protein of 43 amino acids. Suppliers differ here, and the difference matters. Some ship the full-length sequence, while others ship the shorter active region around the actin-binding motif. Therefore we state the exact sequence and measured mass for your lot on the certificate of analysis.
An independent laboratory assays every batch of TB-500 10mg at 99% or greater purity by HPLC. In addition, we provide the mass spectrometry report for the current lot on request. Batch numbers appear on the vial label, so you can trace any result back to the matching analysis.
The powder arrives white to off-white in a sealed glass vial. The vial carries a rubber stopper and an aluminium crimp seal. We add no excipients, carriers or preservatives.
Lyophilised peptide stays stable at ambient temperature in transit. However, move it to -20°C on arrival and keep it away from direct light. To reconstitute, add bacteriostatic water. For example, 2mL yields a working concentration of 5mg/mL.
Direct the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than onto the powder. Then swirl gently. Never shake the vial, because agitation can shear the peptide chain. Afterwards, hold the vial at 2–8°C, use it within four weeks, and never refreeze it. We stock Bacteriostatic Water 3mL separately.
Thymosin beta-4 appears in the published literature mainly in models of actin regulation and tissue repair. PubMed indexes a review of its basic properties for researchers who want the primary sources.
